It is not the unfolding of the story of John, or even of prophetical truth, but rather the message of the "appearing of Christ. " Secondly, we see that this revelation was given to Jesus Christ, as is everything, for Jesus said: All things are delivered unto me of my Father (Matthew 11:27). These things that must soon take place, certainly picture the present hour when signs pointing to His return are beginning to appear with alarming frequency.  The Book of Revelation is a study of signs.

• A blessing to those who read and hear the word of the revelation prophecy 
• Why Christ was the first begotten raised from the dead
• The mystery of the seven stars and seven golden candlesticks
• Jesus' anger at the churches of that time
• Recognition that John's writings included "things which thou hast seen - past chapter 1; the things which are - chapters 2 and 3; and things which shall be hereafter - future chapters 4 through 22"
